Max Dawson
Max Dawson is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is married to the former Lee Parker; he and Lee have two children and four grandchildren. He was converted to Christ by a co-worker at the General Motors plant in Indianapolis where he was working in 1969.
He began preaching in the spring of 1970 and labored with church in Noblesville, Indiana for three years. He worked with the Courtland Avenue church in Kokomo, Indiana for five years.In 1978, Dawson moved to Beaumont, Texas, where he has preached since that time. From 1979-1989, the church (then known as the Pinecrest church) sponsored a daily call-in radio program, “Searching the Scriptures,” which was hosted by Max. Since 1986, brother Dawson has served as an elder with the Dowlen Road church of Christ. He has made five extended preaching trips to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana to train young preachers, most recently in the Fall of 2009.
David A. Banning
David is a native of Houston, Texas. Before moving to Beaumont in 2003, David worked with churches in Huntsville, Texas, Joliet, Illinois and Orlando, Florida. In September, David completed his seventh year with the Dowlen Road Church.

After graduating from Klein Forest high school, David continued his education at Florida College, the University of Houston and Sam Houston State University.
In addition to his work as an evangelist and elder at Dowlen Road, David conducts special studies for teenagers and teacher training seminars for those who work with teens. He is the author of the Get Them Talking workbooks, a series of 28 lesson books for teen Bible classes (see teen workbook website).
David lives in Beaumont, Texas with his wife, Heidi, and their two sons, Todd and Jonathan.
Benjamin Lee
Ben Lee came to Dowlen Road from Columbia, MO. After working for several year for Pfizer, Ben decided to devote his life to preaching the gospel. He and his wife Nikki moved to Beaumont in July, 2009, where Ben began working in the “evangelist-in-training” program under the instruction of the elders and evangelists at Dowlen Road.
